| Casarosa is one of the most
pleasurable houses on the island. Recently built (1992) it has been
conceived for the good life. A mix of traditional Ibiza and Mexican style
with walls of an average 80 cm wide and dense old wood carpentry, it feels
that it has been there for centuries. A third of the constructed surface are
galleries open to the garden or the inner patios. This is a very appropriate
design to ensure freshness without artificial air conditioning. Many corners
and intricate pathways on different levels create agreeable spaces which
produce a feeling of intimacy, even if the house hosts a big party.
The pool is appropriately separated from the main house. A fully equipped
studio,
an exterior dinning room with kitchen and barbecue, a terrace with built in sofas
are also part of the pool area. All this allows to accommodate guests while preserving the main house's privacy.
This is a summer house which can be lived in during the winter with equal
comfort. The quality of construction, the unusually wide walls and high
roofs with an efficient central under floor heating system guarantee the
right temperature all year long. It is also a house which has the capacity
to hold a few hundred people on occasions and may very well give a feeling
of peaceful retreat to a couple friends.
